Rita Rocha, born in Portugal in the year of 1978.
"I was a baby when I first saw a camera held by my father, I still use that same camera today. I have always been interested in Art and have never considered anything else as a career.
Still a teenager, I decided, I wanted to be an actress and I studied and practiced Drama for several years. I've passed through street theatre, circus and contemporary dance. I was still looking for a creative activity. After a few years working, I started directing shows and plays and photographing it compulsively, trying to encapsulate the ephemeral moments of each performance.
One camera after the other, I had to learn more and more! After this was my Photography Degree in the United Kingdom, exhibitions, contests and commissioned work.
I will never stop learning photography and feel passionate about it. It inspires me.
And that’s what life is made of."
